jim-lark Here are the event details for Monday night’s meetup with Jim Lark! I should note that even though we have the room *reserved* from 7-10pm the talk won’t be THAT long. But, we have the room available should we wish to linger for a while for some fun discussion.

Date: Monday, September 7, 2009

Time: 7:00pm – 10:00pm

Location: La Madeline Restaurant (meeting room)

Street: 3418 N Lamar Blvd (Around 34th and Lamar)

City/Town: Austin, TX

Dr. Jim Lark from the University of Virginia will be presenting “What is Libertarianism?” to us in our first special event of the Fall semester. If you’ve ever wondered what a libertarian would say about X, Y, or Z, or just want to find out what it truly is that we think about how the world works, this is the talk for you!
NOTE the non-campus location (although it is CLOSE to campus) because the university refuses to reserve rooms for meetings on Labor Day… So, we have reserved the special meeting room at La Madeline from 7-10pm on Monday night. Make sure to bring a little cash for some of their great coffee, pastries, and desserts! Alternatively, you can, of course, just treat yourself to dinner.
And speaking of Labor Day, we will also be indirectly acting in gentle protest of this obtrusive government holiday that celebrates how Unions can coerce individuals and businesses on a regular basis.

See you there!
