A good while back, one of LL’s former members, Andrew Glass, posted a link to a libertarian purity test on his facebook profile. It’s a lot of fun to take, and gives a good indication of just how radical one is, in terms of the libertarian spectrum. The test ranges from a score of 0-160. I took the test a year ago and scored a 99. Just recently, I re-took the test and scored a 145. I think it’d be fun to see what other members of our group score. Happy test-taking!
Here’s the link:

I score a 158 when I take the test, but only because I disagree with the voucher questions. I don’t think vouchers are improvements because they can very readily become more means of government control. Down with the State!
Nice. According to Andrew’s original note, which lists the scores of other famous libertarians, you’re more radical than Lew Rockwell. He only scored a 151.
There are other disputable items on the list – such as the vigilante justice question. Frankly, I could go either way on these because it depends on one’s definition of the terms. This sort of test is Caplan’s personal version of “libertarian purity,” and it isn’t necessarily either perfect or complete. But it is an interesting gauge of where one stands in his idea about the State, for sure!
